At our training center, we are committed to continuous growth—because standing still is moving backward. This is especially true when it comes to dog training, and particularly in the field of detection work. Since training detection dogs for various tasks is a core part of what we do, we strive to stay informed about the latest methods and innovations.
Despite the rise of artificial intelligence and robotics, dogs remain undeniably valuable. Their noses are still among the most powerful and irreplaceable tools we have.
During a professional visit to the United States, Johan met Frank Schembre and was impressed by his expertise, experience, and knowledge as a K9 handler, trainer, instructor, evaluator, and examiner in the detection world. This led to an invitation for Frank to come to Belgium to train and educate our team.
We are now thrilled to announce that on June 7 and 8, 2025, we will be opening this experience to the public as well, through the seminar:
"The Art of Detection" by Frank Schembre
Open to both participants with and without dogs.
Frank Schembre is a highly respected and in-demand trainer in the United States and beyond. He travels extensively to train various public services—including police, military, and customs units—and is a frequent speaker at international conferences.
With over 30 years of experience, Frank has served in every role within the field of detection—and continues to do so. He is a K9 handler, trainer, instructor, evaluator, and examiner for detection dogs across the U.S.
Thanks to his deep, hands-on experience, Frank has a unique understanding of what detection dogs and their handlers must know and master to perform operationally. He also knows exactly what is required for proper certification.
